I always seem to get poked fun at occasionally for having video game soundtracks on my iPod, usually from those who seem to attribute video game soundtracks to the sound effect Pacman makes, or just the Mario theme song. A lot of people just don't consider video game music to be noteworthy. But avid gamers know that certain games would be nothing without their soundtracks! I don't think I could play any of my games if the music was downplayed. So, what I want to know is, what are some of your favorite video game soundtracks?

My favorites are Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy 7, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (I'm pretty much a sucker for anything by Yasunori Mitsuda, Nobuo Uematsu, or Koji Kondo, though). I also love the soundtrack for Persona 3.
